Experienced Senior Steerhand and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Wireline Specialist with over two decades of experience guiding underground pipeline and utility installations. Working in the pipeline industry since 2006, Larry Steward has successfully provided steering and wireline services on 200+ drilling projects, including more than 100 projects completed while working with Coastal Consulting and more than 80 projects completed independently through Steward Guidance Services LLC since 2021.

Steward Guidance Services specializes in using advanced underground tracking and steering technology to help drilling crews accurately follow a planned underground path while avoiding obstacles and maintaining the required depth, alignment, and right-of-way. His experience includes complex crossings beneath rivers, canals, highways, freeways, storm drains, levees, and other challenging terrain.

As a Senior Steerhand, Larry is responsible for surveying the planned coordinates and bore path utilizing GPS technology, developing profiles, monitoring the drill's underground position, and providing steering guidance throughout the drilling operation while maintaining proper clearance for any obstructions. His role is critical to helping ensure that the bore follows the engineered plan and is completed safely and accurately.

• Surveying  the project area and establishing the information needed to guide the  underground bore.
• Building  bore profiles that map the planned underground drilling path,      including depth, direction, and changes in elevation.
• Steering  the job by monitoring the drill head underground and providing      guidance to keep the bore on the planned path.
• Using  advanced high-resolution steering and tracking technology to      monitor the drill's position and movement.
• Monitoring  downhole pressure and other drilling information to help identify  changing conditions during the bore.
• Working  closely with drill operators, project managers, engineers, contractors,  and other field personnel.
• Monitoring  the bore in real time and making adjustments when necessary to maintain  the planned alignment.
• Helping  crews successfully navigate challenging underground crossings while  maintaining required clearances and staying within designated      rights-of-way.
• Reviewing  and interpreting drilling data, bore logs, profiles, and as-built      documentation.
• Providing  technical consultation and field guidance when project conditions require  adjustments to the planned drilling approach.
